Remember when Upwork actually felt like a place where you could build a real freelancing career instead of just burning cash on Connects and writing proposals that never get viewed, and now between the fees, the ghosting clients, and the constant race to the bottom on pricing, I am seriously questioning whether it is even worth it anymore, so has anyone here actually walked away and found a platform where freelancers are treated like professionals instead of being forced to beg and pay for every single opportunity?
