I'd be mid-convo, things heating up, and suddenly replies were locked until the next day or I spent stars. Photo requests dried up even faster; after a couple teasing ones it said no more without topping up. The daily stars from logins help a little, but if you're actually using it daily they vanish quick on anything fun. I held out for a bit trying to stretch it, but eventually grabbed Prime because unlimited messages and bonus stars every month mean I don't have to think about limits anymore – just chat when I want. Way less frustrating for anyone who actually enjoys the back-and-forth. The free-to-paid jump on click here isn't bad if you hit those walls like I did.
