Webhook events arriving out of order in Avaya Cloud – how to handle this correctly?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently integrating Avaya Cloud (CPaaS) webhooks into our application and I’ve noticed that some events related to the same interaction/session occasionally arrive out of order. For example, I might receive a “completed” or “ended” event before an earlier state update that logically should have come first.

I understand that webhooks are asynchronous, but I want to make sure I’m handling this the right way on my side. Is this expected behavior with Avaya Cloud webhooks, and if so, is there a recommended pattern for ordering or reconciling events (timestamps, sequence IDs, etc.)?

If anyone has experience with this or best practices they can share, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
